SCOPE
What this service covers.
Only the work we actually do — no padded list. If you are not sure whether your job fits, send a photo and we will tell you straight.
Travertine decks
Natural stone that stays cooler underfoot than concrete, in patterns and colors matched to the coping.
Paver decks
Concrete pavers in a range of colors and patterns, easy to lift and relay if anything underneath ever needs work.
Base and drainage
Excavated, compacted base with the grade set so water leaves the deck, plus deck or channel drains where needed.
Coping and steps
Coping to finish the pool edge, and curved or straight steps that connect the deck to the house or the lawn.

Why people call about this.
The concrete is too hot
Bare concrete in July burns feet. Travertine and lighter pavers stay far more comfortable.
The old deck cracked or tilted
Clay movement breaks up slabs. A segmented stone or paver deck on a good base flexes instead of cracking.
Water pools on the deck
If splash water sits or runs toward the house, the grade is wrong, and that is fixed from the base up.
COLLEGE STATION, TX
Pool Decks in College Station: what’s different here.
College Station is the larger half of the Bryan–College Station metro, a city of about 120,500 people (2020 census) built around Texas A&M University. It grew fast after World War II and is still growing south, so yards range from decades-old lots near campus to new subdivisions toward Greens Prairie and Wellborn. Fences, decks, pools, and other residential projects are permitted through the City of College Station Planning & Development Services Building Division at 1101 Texas Avenue, HOA neighborhoods usually need architectural approval first, and utilities get marked through Texas811 before any digging.
Pools & Spas in College Station
The city requires a permit for any pool or spa deeper than 24 inches and a barrier around it, and on tight subdivision lots access for excavation equipment is often the first thing to plan.
The ground
Brazos County uplands are mostly claypan and clay soils that swell when wet and shrink when dry, so anything built on the ground here needs a properly excavated and compacted base and a plan for where the water goes.
Homes and lots
Older ranch homes with mature oaks in Southwood Valley and Emerald Forest, a large stock of student rentals near campus, and newer HOA subdivisions such as Castlegate and Pebble Creek on tighter, flatter lots.
